Job Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and reliable Industrial Maintenance Technician to join our team. This role is responsible for performing preventive maintenance, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring all machinery operates efficiently. The ideal candidate will have strong hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical experience, along with the ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. PLC experience is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform preventive maintenance on all machinery
- Troubleshoot and repair equipment breakdowns
- Identify and look up necessary parts
- Order parts using machine numbers and specifications
- Maintain organized records of maintenance and repairs
- Prioritize and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
- Collaborate with team members and communicate effectively
- Delegate tasks where applicable
Qualifications:
Education:
- High School Diploma or GED required
Experience:
- Minimum of 5 years of heavy-duty maintenance experience
Skills & Abilities:
- Strong troubleshooting skills across various types of machinery
- Solid understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Ability to read and interpret safety rules, operating instructions, and manuals
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Effective communication and teamwork abilities
- Ability to write routine reports and communicate clearly with team members
- Basic computer skills including email, record keeping, and data entry
- Ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple responsibilities efficiently
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 75 lbs
- Ability to work in cold weather conditions
Work Environment:
- Primarily indoor work with some outdoor exposure
- Exposure to oil, grease, and industrial equipment
Equipment Used:
- Hand tools and power tools
- Welders, end mill, lathe, and grinder
Additional Requirements:
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to follow complex verbal and written instructions
- Basic math skills required
