Production Supervisor

A well-established Baton Rouge manufacturing company is seeking a hands-on Production Supervisor to lead daily operations within a blending department focused on coatings and dry seasoning production. This is a frontline leadership role ideal for someone who thrives in a fast-paced manufacturing environment and has strong attention to detail, team leadership skills, and a commitment to safety and quality.
The ideal candidate will be comfortable working in an environment with strong food and spice aromas throughout the facility.
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and coordinate daily blending and production operations
- Lead production employees while promoting a strong safety culture and GMP compliance
- Partner with maintenance, quality, and operations teams to ensure efficient workflow
- Monitor production performance and identify opportunities for process improvements and cost reduction
- Train, coach, and develop employees while maintaining accountability and productivity
- Support quality initiatives and ensure compliance with company standards and procedures
- Utilize SAP bar code scanning systems and production tracking processes
- Maintain a clean, organized, and team-oriented work environment
- Communicate effectively with leadership teams and department personnel
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required
- 5–8 years of manufacturing or production experience
- 2–3 years of supervisory or frontline leadership experience
- Strong attention to detail and ability to lead by example on the production floor
- Experience working in food manufacturing, blending, batching, or related production environments preferred
- Knowledge of KPIs, safety standards, and continuous improvement initiatives
- Proficient with Microsoft Office and production systems
- Strong communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills
- Must be comfortable working around strong spice and seasoning odors in a manufacturing environment
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
