The Sr. NPI Process Engineer, reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, will oversee program specific process development activities focused on late-stage development of novel medical devices.
Here Is a Glimpse Of What You’ll Do…
- Define, establish, and refine assembly processes for medical products in late-stage development.
- Drive DFA and DFM reviews for components and assemblies to drive design-centered solutions to manufacturability concerns.
- Drive process risk management through the creation and maintenance of PFMEA.
- Scope fixturing needs, writing requirements, and drive fixture completion ahead of key build milestones.
- Develop equipment specific process windows through DoEs for various bonding technologies (ultrasonic/laser welding, adhesives, etc.)
- Within a cross-functional team, executive development builds in all stages of development, ranging from Feasibility to Design Verification.
- Interface with NPI teams at partner manufacturing sites to facilitate a smooth transfer of DMR from the Design Center.
- Respond to customer needs in development while maintaining a ‘factory view’ towards design maturity and stability.
- Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.
- 6 years of process engineer experince
- 4 years of medical devices/ pharma/biotechnology industry experience
- Previous technical writer experience
- Product design experince prefer
