Reporting to the Supply Chain Manager, the Production Planner will be In charge of helping materials and production functions. Plans, schedules, coordinates and approves product release to the production planning systems based on material and capacity availability.
What a typical day looks like:
- Assess order fulfillment feasibility based on material, labor, and capacity availability; confirm orders and release clean‑to‑build work orders.
- Develop, maintain, and execute short‑ and long‑term production plans, including MPS and forecasts, and update planning data in ERP systems.
- Monitor plan execution, inventory levels, and system accuracy (BOM, routings, item master, WOs); proactively address deviations, shortages, and schedule risks.
- Coordinate with Purchasing, SCM, Master Scheduling, and Customer Focus Teams to manage ECOs, rescheduling, product life‑cycle changes, and customer priorities.
- Prepare operational, management, and KPI reports; support order desk activities, customer programs, and continuous process improvement initiatives.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Supply Chain, or related field.
- 3 - 5 years of related experience preferably in the Power Distribution Industry.
- Demonstrates basic people and/or process management skills.
- Proven expertise in production scheduling, with working knowledge of ERP or MRP systems.
- Microsoft Excel advance skills
