Job Description Summary

Farm is seeking a highly collaborative and self-driven Mechanical Engineer to join our talented and dynamic product development group to play a critical role in creating the next generation of advanced medical technologies. www.farmpd.com

Here Is a Glimpse Of What You’ll Do…

• Work on an exciting variety of products ranging from home health wearables to next generation therapy systems to surgical robotics.
• Engage with clients ranging from early stage start ups to fortune 100 medical device companies.
• Collaborate with industrial design, user interface, human factors, software, mechanical, and quality teams to create exceptional product designs.
• Conceptualize, investigate, and develop innovative product architectures, mechanisms, and electro-mechanical designs.
• Deliver compelling presentations to clients and internal teams to communicate design approach, value, tradeoffs, and recommendations.
• Create robust design solutions using CAD, analysis software, and lab equipment.
• Assemble and test prototypes to support design decisions and demonstrate performance.
  
  

Here Is Some Of What You’ll Need (required)…

• Bachelors or Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar.
• 1 years of product development experience.
• Highly collaborative team attitude.
• Demonstrated ability to use SolidWorks and/or Creo to resolve mechanical challenges and produce high quality CAD databases.
• Working knowledge of various manufacturing processes and techniques (including plastic part design, metal fabrication, and extrusions).
• Ability to quickly ramp up on, assess, and resolve diverse product challenges.
• Versatility and high levels of creativity and technical comprehension.
• Highly developed interpersonal and communication skills.
