Responsible for tracking product information to keep businesses and supply chains on schedule for production lines. Ensure proper scheduling and record keeping for materials moved within operations. Participates in work related to receiving, issuing, and delivering a variety of materials, equipment and supplies within operation areas. Works with independence in carrying out duties with limited supervision.

Principle Accountabilities:

• Responsible for leading and coordinating the work of subordinates involved in material movement across different operation areas.
• Ensure proper scheduling & record keeping for materials moved within operations area.
• Compile reports on various aspects of changes in production which affect materials feeds to production lines.
• Find, sort, or move goods between different parts of the business
• Oversee workers’ schedules, estimate costs, keep track of materials, and write special orders for new materials.
• Perform general office tasks, such as entering data or distributing mail.
• May receive, unpack, and use hand-held scanners to keep track of merchandise within different production areas
• May weigh, measure, check, sample, and keep records on materials, supplies, and equipment that enters operations area.
• May verify the quantity and quality of items provided on production line, checking for defects and recording what they find.
• Reviews difficult or complex work procedures to resolve questions presented by workers.
• Designs operations layout meant for material storage online and oversees rearranging process.
• May utilize computerized or automated systems to accomplish tasks.
