- Develops and/or supports comprehensive quality test programs.
- Develops or modifies test models.
- Performs test ability evaluation (DFT).
- Performs mechanical examination of test fixtures.
- Coordinates 3rd part development of in-circuit programs and enhancements.
- Develops and/or supports diagnostic tests at the card edge level.
- Supports improvements to functional test hardware.
- Develops test plans and procedures.
- Coordinates 3rd party development of functional test development and enhancements.
- Designs, develops and/or supports environmental test programs, procedures and profiles
- Performs failure analysis on environmental test failures.
- Coordinates 3rd party development of ESS activities.
- Evaluates and interprets software or system level diagnostic failure (software and hardware).
- Develops and/or modifies software or system level plans and tests.
- Develops and/or supports comprehensive quality test programs.
- Performs test ability evaluation (DFT).
- Education: Typically requires a bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience and training.
- Experience:
- Typically requires 4 years of experience in test or Failure analysis engineering in the high technology electronics industry or related area
- Demonstrates advanced functional and technical skills and basic process skills. Demonstrates advanced/thorough knowledge of the function and Flex business. Typically requires skill and troubleshooting, and diagnostics, and overview of the entire test process and the ability to train others
- Ability to read, analyze and interpret common scientific and technical journals. Ability to write reports, business correspondence and procedure manuals. Ability to effectively communicate with managers and employees of the organizations.
- Ability to apply advanced mathematical concepts such as exponents, logarithms, quadratic equations and permutations. Ability to apply mathematical operations to such tasks as frequency distribution, determination of test reliability and validity, analysis of variance, correlation techniques, sampling theory and factor analysis.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts and draw valid conclusions. Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions in mathematical or diagram form, and deal with several abstract and concrete variables.
