Reporting to the Sr Director, Facilities the Director, Facilities role will be In charge of guiding a broad functional area through several department managers for the implementation of complex activities related to the efficient management of facilities in order to ensure that buildings under the organization’s control meet the required company and government standards and regulations.

Reporting to the Sr Director, Facilities the Director, Facilities role will be In charge of guiding a broad functional area through several department managers for the implementation of complex activities related to the efficient management of facilities in order to ensure that buildings under the organization’s control meet the required company and government standards and regulations.
What a typical day looks like:
- Direct and control the activities of one or more functional areas, divisions, product groups, service groups through Director and Senior Managers with overall control for the direction of those assigned areas for planning, budgeting, implementing and maintaining costs, methods, and employees.
- Partner with other Senior Managers and other corporate partners and segments to establish corporate strategic plans and goals.
- Work on abstract and complex problems across functional areas of the business.
- Make final resolutions on administrative and operational matters and ensure effective achievement of operation’s goals.
- Develop methods, techniques and evaluation criteria for obtaining results.
- Develop, modify, and implement company policies that affect immediate operation(s) and may also have company-wide effect.
- Ensure budgets and schedules meet corporate requirements.
- Act as advisor to subordinate managers to meet schedules, to achieve goals and/or resolve technical problems in accordance with established policies.
- Interact regularly with executives and/or major customers. To collaborate in contract negotiations or other matters for which influence skills are required.
- Establish and recommend changes to policies which affect subordinate organizations.
- Implement appropriate HR Strategies and actions to recruit and retain a qualified and motivated workforce.
- Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Electrical / Mechanical Engineering, related degree or equivalent experience and training. Master’s Degree preferred.
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in facilities engineering or related field, including management.
- Multi-Site Management - Austin Campus (Production Corporate), San Jose, Plano, Farmington, Milpitas Campus, Fontana, Dallas, Henrico.
