What are the responsibilities and job description for the Electrical/Manufacturing/Applications Engineer position at Flex-Tec?
Flex-Tec is a manufacturer of wiring assemblies for major companies in the United States
and elsewhere in the world. The company has been in existence for thirty years
with operations in Byromville, Georgia and Monterrey, Mexico. Flex-Tec utilizes
the Microsoft enterprise platform Navision. The company is a drug free
workplace and requires applicants to pass a drug screen.
General
Requirements
· An associate degree or four-year
degree in electrical engineering, electrical technology or manufacturing
technology.
· In lieu of a degree, experience
working in these fields at a manufacturing company.
· The ability to successfully perform
in a fast pace short time frame team environment.
· Determine electrical and
manufacturing requirements based on the customer’s requirements and application
· Acquire a knowledge of the bill of
materials of the products to be able to respond to customer’s requirements
Preferred Requirements
· Knowledge of wiring harness components
and assembly process
· Experience with Microsoft Navision
software
· Experience
in performing in a manufacturing environment
Other
Requirements
· Ability to lift 35 pounds
· Ability
to stand for periods of time
· Consistent
attendance and the ability to work extra time based on the Company and
customer’s requirements
· Desire
to continually learn aspects of manufacturing and engineering
