What are the responsibilities and job description for the Print Press Operator position at Flex-Staff?
Job Title: Print Press Operator
Pay Rate: $22.00/hr. with an additional $2.00 per hour incentive for working the full scheduled shift.
Hours: Training hours will be 9:30am – 7:30pm Monday-Thursday until fully trained
Normal hours- 3:00pm-1:30am Monday-Thursday
Length: Temp to Hire
Location: Fond du Lac
Requirements:
- Working in a fast-paced environment
- Be able to walk up and down stairs
- Must be able to work independently with minimal supervision
- Must have mechanical aptitude to troubleshoot minor press issues
- Pass a color test
- High School diploma or GED equivalent
Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate the printing press accurately
- Ensure product quality meets customer specifications
- Read and follow instructions on the production ticket
- Insert image print plates into the machine
- Set up the press to match customer-approved proofs
- Complete job tickets and recap forms
- Perform routine maintenance on machines, including:
- Changing printing and coating blankets
- Replacing cleaning cloths
- Lubricating the machine
