Prepress & Print Production Specialist – Direct Hire!

Do you have Print and Prepress experience? Are you looking to work for a growing company?

In this role, you will be responsible for the layout and preparation of electronic files per customer expectations, produce press-ready files from supplied customer artwork, and be involved in the plate making process.

Our client is NOT looking for a Graphic Designer for this role.

Pay Rate:  $22/hour-$24/hour, based on experience

Hours: Full time, 8am-4:30pm, Monday-Friday.  May be flexibility to work between 7am-5pm after trained

Length: Temporary to hire

Job Title: PrePress Technician

Location: Greenville, WI (on-site)

Responsibilities: 

• Prepare artwork and database files for offset print, digital print, large format, and digital flexible packaging printing
• Modify electronic customer-supplied art files, making color, text, and digital image corrections to assure proper format, appearance, and layout per job details and press specifications
• Analyze customer files for fonts, images, integrity, printability, or any other possible production concerns
• Use graphic programs to generate a proof, template layout, typesetting, copy changes, digital image corrections, color separation, basic trapping and ink lay down order to produce optimized art files
• Incorporate all press specifications in files including marks, registration, gain curves, and profiles to achieve press matches
• Verify quality of layout prints, proofs, and files by evaluating spelling, content, and prepress standards with consistency across brands and projects

Requirements: 

• Must have working knowledge of Prepress imposition workflow software
• Proficient in Adobe Suite products including InDesign, Illustrator, Acrobat Pro and Photoshop
• Knowledge of color separations, screens, dot gain, and resolution
• Understanding of offset printing, flexographic printing, digital printing, foil stamping, large format, mailing and packaging
• Organized, project planning skills, able to prioritize and follow through on projects assigned with minimal supervision
