What are the responsibilities and job description for the Fabrication position at Flex-Staff?
- Hours: 2nd shift - Monday through Thursday, 4:00p-2:30a (overtime on Fridays as needed) - MUST TRAIN ON FIRST SHIFT (Monday through Thursday, 5:30a-4;00p)
- Pay: $20 an hour with room to advance once hired!!
- Material handling, forklift operating and fabrication. Definitely a MOVING AROUND job!
Do you like hands-on work, staying organized, and being the person who keeps things running smoothly on the shop floor?
As a Material Handler and Fabrication Support Specialist, you help keep production moving by ensuring materials and parts are in the right place, at the right time, and in the right condition.
Material Handling & Organization
- Move raw material and parts between departments.
- Shake out parts after cutting and prep them for the next operation.
- Stage and store materials and finished goods correctly.
- Follow FIFO and keep work areas clean and organized.
Shipping, Receiving & Inventory Support
- Load and unload trucks.
- Verify part counts and labels.
- Match packing lists to outgoing shipments.
- Help with inventory staging and storage.
Accuracy, Quality & Teamwork
- Log counts and materials accurately in our system.
- Communicate issues if something is missing or doesn’t look right.
- Work closely with production to support daily workflow and deadlines.

- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience in material handling and fabrication.
- Ability to operate forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling equipment.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Good communication skills and ability to work well in a team.
