FLEX Payment Solutions seeks a highly motivated individual to join the team as Director of Operations. This senior role at FLEX is responsible for providing strategic leadership over end-to-end business processes while leading a payment processing team in our Fenton, Missouri office.
The Director of Operations will report directly to the Executive Vice President and will be responsible for daily payment operations, operations team management and customer/vendor, management. The Director will partner cross functionally with Sales, Client Services, Compliance/Risk, Accounting, and other teams to increase operational efficiency and scale FLEX’s growth in all its payment offerings. (This role will be in our St Louis, Fenton MO office).
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
· Day-to-day operations of the operations team
· Maintain operations team Role/Responsibility chart, as well as appropriate backup processing structures
· Review existing and develop new repeatable processes that support the delivery of payment services to FLEX clients
· Serve as an escalation point for payment issues and works closely with other Flex teams to quickly resolve issues
· Manage payment team meetings, hiring, training, team performance (KPIs), and schedules
· Identify and drive initiatives to prevent and reduce losses related to payments
· Other duties as needed

· Preferred experience with ACH and Merchant Processing payment systems, including applicable rules and regulations
· Excellent written, oral, and interpersonal communication skills
· Demonstrate ability to understand stakeholder needs and develop effective communication strategies for those stakeholders.
- Strong computer skills including the ability to prepare spreadsheets and advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Products (Word, Excel, Power Point and/or Access) and SQL to analyze data and trends
Education
· 7 years’ experience in relevant field such as financial services, business operations, or fintech
· 5 years of management experience with a team of 10 individuals
· A bachelor’s degree in Business/Finance/Management/Operations or other related field highly suggested
Other Qualifications
· Experience in ACH payments or card payments
· AAP or CPP certification
