Our company is currently searching for members to join our Production team as a Greenhouse Lead who will work to provide support across our plant. This position will work within a team of other production staff and will be based in our Dixon, IL office. This role will require candidates to be able to work 8-hour shifts Monday through Friday weekly.
Key Role and Responsibilities:
- Folds, winds, cuts, processes, and packages all materials
- Read and interpret work order documents for accuracy
- Maintains and monitors supply of all components and supplies for machine lines
- Select correct rolls from inventory racks to match individual work orders
- Select and manage machine settings correctly for work orders
- Maintain rolls in designated correct locations and maintain inventory locations appropriately
- Move and manipulate rolls with forklift, crane or hand cart as necessary
- Perform cycle counts in department
- Lead other department employees on various ad-hoc roles to ensure maximizing productivity daily
- Assist maintenance department as needed on machines
- Operate and help maintain greenhouse line
- Knowledge of safety protocols and emergency procedures and execute as necessary
- Perform other duties that may be assigned by management
Skills:
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Previous manufacturing experience a plus
- Previous leadership or supervisory role preferred
- Ability to follow verbal and written communication in English
- Ability to read and write clearly in English
- Ability to work independently
- Ability to read measuring devices and basic math skills
