Description: The EDI Specialist role is responsible for the retrieval and submission of inbound and outbound data. This position manages electronic data interchange (EDI) processes, builds and maintains reports, assists with ERP troubleshooting, and contributes to ongoing process development. The Specialist will collaborate with internal stakeholders, external partners, and third-party providers to ensure smooth operations, accurate data flow, and continuous improvement of systems and processes.
This position is based out of our Chicago, IL facility and is a fully on-site role. Only local candidates will be considered at this time.
Responsibilities:
- EDI Management
- Process orders from and acknowledge shipments to our trading partners throughout the sales process using multiple portals and our ERP system daily
- Manage onboarding of new EDI partners, including mapping, testing and certification
- Monitor and resolve EDI errors, ensuring timely data flow between trading partners and internal systems
- Support special EDI circumstances requiring solutions beyond our ERP system and custom portals
- Invoicing
- Create accurate invoices to be sent via the customers preferred method daily
- Reporting
- Maintain and update regular weekly, monthly, and quarterly reports
- Using Crystal create and edit reports as needed
- Assist with annual audit
- Systems and Project Support
- Assist with IT and system-related tasks as assigned
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify system gaps and develop solutions
- Maintain accurate documentation of systems, processes, and project progress

Skills/Qualifications:
- 3-5 years' experience with ERP systems
- Intermediate knowledge of Excel and Microsoft suite
- SQL and Crystal Reports knowledge preferred
- High School Diploma, Bachelor's Degree in a business-related field preferred
- Strong understanding of EDI processes, standards, and trading partner management
- Excellent problem-solving skills with attention to detail and process accuracy
- Strong communication and documentation skills
- Manufacturing experience preferred
- Ability to work cross functionally and across various teams

- Ability to lift or move packages weighing up to 25lbs
