Job Title: Automobile Manual Painter
About the Job
The Automobile Manual Painter is responsible for ensuring timely, consistent, and high-quality painting of all automobile parts based on specifications.
Main Responsibilities:
- Handle all parts with care and follow specifications to maintain cleanliness and functionality of all lines and equipment.
- Ensure consistency in painting quality and meet company standards.
- Detect defects quickly and efficiently and communicate with Shift Superintendent as necessary.
- Maintain a clean and safe working environment.
Requirements:
- 2 years of painting experience.
- Knowledge of hand sprayers and systems.
- Ability to pass a color test.
- 2 years current forklift experience and certification preferred.
- Knowledge of paint specifics such as consistency, temperatures, and coat thickness.
- Ability to lift a minimum of 50# in a team lift.
Working Conditions:
- Availability to work subject to manufacturing needs including mandatory overtime up to 12 hours a day.
- Exposed to manufacturing hazards such as loud machines, moving machinery, and fumes.
- Manual dexterity to grasp, type, squeeze, and release triggers or tighten lines, move levers.
- Ambient work environment with cooler temps in colder months and warmer temps in hotter months.
- Physically demanding job requiring long periods of standing, stooping, squatting, bending, reaching side to side, overhead, and below the waist.
