Finishing Technician

Our customers expect excellence for the parts we manufacture for them and they should, because we make medical implants, defense and aerospace parts and parts that go into space. Summary: Responsible for deburring, cleaning, assembly and the final visual inspection of machined parts by performing the following duties.

Duties and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

• Responsible for deburring parts by using sand paper, scotchbrite/beartex, knifes, pins, flat scrapers, abrasive wheels, and other tools as needed.*
• Responsible for cleaning parts.*
• Responsible for final visual inspection of parts under magnification.*
• Other duties, including, but not limited to, assembly, pin installation, helicoil installation, bead installation, ink marking, swaging/peening, etc.*
• Ensures parts are in good condition (deburred, cleaned, not damaged, etc.) before they are signed off and leave the department.*
• Exercises caution to ensure that parts are not damaged and repairs as needed.*
• Cleans department, work space and other areas of the shop as needed.

Language Ability:

Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos. Ability to write simple correspondence. Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations to customers, clients, and other employees of the organization.

Math Ability:

Ability to add and subtract three digit numbers and to multiply and divide with 10's and 100's. Ability to perform these operations using units of American money and weight measurement, volume, and distance.

Reasoning Ability:

Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. Ability to deal with problems involving several variables in standardized situations.

· Microscope or Eye Loupe

· Hand Tools/Dremel

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $25.00 per hour
