Responsibilities
- Perform and assist with audits, reviews and compilations for clients in various industries.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements and evaluate internal controls.
- Prepare and analyze financial statements in accordance with GAAP (or other special purpose framework) to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Deep understanding of accounting and reporting standards.
- Conduct detailed account analysis and resolve discrepancies through thorough investigation and data entry.
- Perform account reconciliation for general ledger accounts and prepare audit documentation for external reviews for clients as needed.
- Support tax preparation activities by providing necessary financial data and ensuring adherence to relevant tax laws.
- Prepare tax provisions schedules, returns, payments, reports and maintain a company’s tax database.
- Find tax solutions to complicated tax issues or errors from incorrect tax filings.
- Identify legal tax savings and recommend ways to improve profits.
- Make sure that clients comply with federal, state and local tax regulations.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of accounting standards and financial concepts.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Ability to perform detailed account reconciliation, journal entries, and double-entry bookkeeping accurately.
- Familiarity with non-profit accounting practices is a plus.
- Excellent analysis skills combined with attention to detail for thorough financial review.
- Competence in data entry tasks.
- Effective communication skills.
Pay: $60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
