Job Overview
We are seeking a caring and dependable RN/LPN to join our Pediatric Prescribed Extended Care (PPEC) team. Nurses in our PPEC center provide skilled nursing care to medically complex children in a structured, nurturing, and family‑centered environment. This position is ideal for nurses who are passionate about pediatrics and prefer consistent daytime hours in a non‑hospital setting.
Responsibilities
- Provide direct nursing care to pediatric patients with complex medical needs
- Administer medications, treatments, and enteral feedings as ordered
- Perform and assist with tracheostomy care, G‑tube/J‑tube care, respiratory treatments, and seizure monitoring.
- Monitor patient condition and document assessments, interventions, and outcomes accurately
- Follow individualized plans of care and physician orders
- Collaborate with RNs, LPNs, CNAs, therapists, and interdisciplinary staff
- Communicate effectively with families regarding patient needs and daily progress
- Maintain a safe, clean, and developmentally appropriate environment
- Follow all infection control, safety, and HIPAA guidelines
- Ensure compliance with state regulations, PPEC policies, and procedures
Experience
- Active Florida RN or LPN license in good standing
- Pediatric experience preferred (PPEC, home health, hospital, clinic, NICU/PICU experience a plus)
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Strong clinical, communication, and documentation skills
- Compassionate, patient‑focused, and reliable
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Must pass background screening, fingerprinting, and drug screening per state requirements
Pay: $46,020.00 - $68,578.00 per year
