This position combines driving, customer interaction, and logistics support. You'll play an important role in transporting customer equipment, coordinating deliveries, and representing Fletcher-Reinhardt at utility facilities throughout the region.
What You'll Do
- Safely transport electrical distribution equipment using company Class B vehicles
- Load, unload, inspect, and secure equipment for transportation
- Coordinate deliveries and pickups with customers and shop personnel
- Verify shipping paperwork and delivery documentation
- Operate forklifts, overhead hoists, and other material handling equipment (training provided)
- Assist with receiving, staging, and preparing equipment for shipment
- Support shop operations when not traveling
- Maintain assigned vehicle and follow DOT regulations and company safety procedures
What We're Looking For
Required
- Valid Class B CDL (REQUIRED)
- Clean driving record
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Dependable and self-motivated
- Ability to travel throughout Missouri, Illinois, Iowa, and surrounding states
Preferred
- Manual transmission experience
- Forklift or industrial equipment experience
- Mechanical aptitude
Schedule & Travel
- Shop days are typically 8-hour shifts
- Travel days typically range from 8-14 hours
- Occasional overnight travel required
- Daily per diem provided for overnight travel, and employees keep any unused portion
- No weekend travel is required
- Overtime opportunities available throughout the year
- Optional Saturday overtime consists of shop work rather than travel
No two weeks are exactly alike. Some weeks you'll spend several days in the shop supporting operations and preparing equipment. Other weeks you'll be traveling to electric cooperatives and municipal utilities throughout the Midwest.
