Position summary
We're looking to immediately hire an experienced Heavy Equipment Operator and Laborer. This is a hands-on, multi-faceted role for someone who can operate machinery, drive, contribute as a laborer, and help keep our job sites running smoothly. The ideal candidate has real construction experience, takes pride in their work, and brings a dependable, can-do attitude to the team every day.

You'll work on job sites across Fairfield and Westchester counties.
Responsibilities
- Operate excavators, skid steers, lulls, backhoes, and other heavy equipment for site work including digging, grading, trenching, and backfilling
- Safely operate trucks to transport materials, debris, and equipment to and from job sites
- Contribute as a laborer to support crews and keep projects on schedule
- Maintain and service equipment and machinery, and perform light maintenance as needed
- Perform daily equipment inspections and report issues promptly
- Plan, coordinate, and help execute project tasks alongside the on-site team
- Work safely and respectfully on active, high-end residential properties, with care for the client's home and surroundings
- Maintain accurate inspection, test, and equipment documentation
Qualifications
Required
- Experience operating excavators, skid steers, lulls, and backhoes
- Experience as a laborer in a construction setting
- Ability to maintain, service, and perform light maintenance on equipment and machinery
- Strong attention to detail in inspections, tests, and documentation
- Proficiency using relevant tools
- Able to perform the physical demands of the role — lifting, climbing, and working outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Dependable, punctual, and able to work independently with a positive, can-do attitude
- Must pass drug testing, motor vehicle license check, and background check
Preferred
- CDL Class A License
- Familiarity with CT DOT and industry standards and regulations
Compensation: $30-40/hour
Salary : $30 - $40
