Job Overview

Duties
- Assist individuals with daily living activities (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and meal preparation to promote independence and self-care skills
- Provide hands-on assistance with meal planning and preparation, budgeting, shopping, and managing personal finances
- Teach and reinforce adaptive and social skills necessary for independent living
- Promote health, safety, and overall well-being in a community-based living environment
- Support clients in accessing community resources, transportation, and social activities to enhance their quality of life
- Collect data on client progress, behavior patterns, and service outcomes to inform care plans and ensure compliance with regulations
- Administer medications accurately following prescribed schedules and document all medication-related activities
- Provide direct support during medical emergencies or behavioral crises while maintaining safety for all involved
Requirements
- Ability to assist with ADLs, medication administration, and behavioral health interventions confidently and responsibly
- Strong communication skills to collaborate with clients, families, and team members effectively
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record for transportation duties
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Education, Rehabilitative Science, Business, or a related field
- Associate’s degree or 2 years of college and 2 years of direct experience supporting individuals with developmental disabilities
- One year of college and 3 years of direct experience with the target population
- A minimum of 4 years of documented, direct professional experience working with individuals with developmental disabilities (can substitute for college on a year-for-year basis)

Pay: $17.00 - $18.00 per hour
