Financial Controller

Controller

• Maintain, update, and internally audit financial records, reports, and general ledger accounts
• Develop and maintain weekly / monthly cash flow projections to manage working capital requirements
• Prepare journal entries, analyses, and account reconciliations
• Month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes, including preparing financial statements
• Provide recommendations for accounting processes and best practices to facilitate company growth
• Preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual bank reporting requirements
• Complete, submit, and track monthly progress invoices due to clients. Ensure timely receipt of payment
• Coordinate with purchaser and department managers to ensure accuracy of invoices and monthly pay applications
• Prepare and assist with documents and reports for 3rd party audits
• Maintain relationships with financial counterparts at banks, vendors, and clients
• Establish and departmental KPIs and track performance
• Other responsibilities and ad hoc projects as assigned

Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business or related field (CPA a plus)
• [3-5] years of Accounting and/or Financial Analysis relevant experience
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint. Advanced Excel skills are highly desirable
• Construction industry experience preferred but not required
• Knowledge of SAGE accounting software or equivalent is a plus
• Team oriented with strong interpersonal skills to develop and maintain internal and external relationships
• Ability to work under pressure, meet quarterly financial close deadlines and respond to changing priorities
