Position Summary:
A Cat Scan Technician (CT) Provides computed tomography (CT) imaging in accordance with applicable scope and standards of practice. Reports to the Director of Radiology and/or Supervisor.
- Patient Populations Served: Neonate, Infant, Early Childhood, Late Childhood, Adolescent, Young Adult, Middle Adult, Older Adult.
- Protected Health Information Accessed: Demographic, Clinical, Insurance, Financial, Complete Medical Record.
- Exposure: Occupational exposure to bloodborne pathogens is present.
- Physical Requirements: Frequent standing, walking, lifting/moving patients, and repetitive hand/arm movements. Regular exposure to biological and chemical hazards, including blood and bodily fluids, hazardous medications, and latex.
- On-Call Requirement: Must accept on-call assignments for scheduled shifts and be available to report to the facility within 30 minutes of notification.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Two-year certificate, Associate’s degree, or Baccalaureate degree.
- Current Radiation Operator Certificate in state of practice; registered with the American Registry of Radiologic Technology in Radiology and Computed Tomography;
- BLS required.
