Lunch/Hall Monitor
Willow Creek Elementary
The Hall Monitor oversees the unstructured areas of the building to which they are assigned to ensure the safety of building occupants and the orderly movement of students and visitors throughout the building.
The Lunch Monitor shall be responsible for monitoring and assisting students during meal service.
- Minimum of high school diploma or equivalent
- Must pass all background checks
- Supervise the movement of students and visitors throughout the building.
- Supervise entrance ways, ensuring that all visitors to the building promptly report to the office to register.
- Implement building/district security procedures.
- Walk throughout the building checking all unstructured/unsupervised areas including restrooms and locker rooms.
- Approach both students and visitors in a friendly yet firm manner and be able to articulate the proper procedures and expectations to comply with building and district policies/procedures.
- Immediately notify the building administrator when an individual fails to follow building/district procedures.
- Demonstrates reliability by consistently reporting to work on time and maintaining regular attendance.
- Oversee and assist students during meal service.
- Circulate throughout the cafeteria or in areas where meals are served and/or eaten.
- Good interpersonal and customer service skills.
- Ability to work with students in a firm but non-confrontational manner.
- Ability to recognize, respect, and maintain the confidentiality of issues, records, and information.
- Ability to assess the seriousness of a stressful situation, calling for assistance when appropriate.
- Frequent walking throughout the building to classrooms, cafeteria, and buildings.
- Sitting for extended periods.
- Standing for limited periods.
- Frequent bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, grasping.
- Moderate lifting from 15 to 30 pounds (Light lifting – up to 15 pounds).

PAY RATE: $15.02 - $16.45 based on education
Note: Employee is responsible for cost of clearances and physical.

- Clearances (PA Child Abuse, PA Criminal History, FBI Fingerprint clearance)
- Pre- employment drug screening
