The successful candidate will maximize long-term profitability by creating superior value for customers while minimizing resources and adhering to company expectations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintains high-quality food production that ensures the safety and quality of food according to policies, procedures, and company requirements.
- Ensures food and chemicals are stored safely, organized, and in a hazard-free environment.
- Trains and mentors team members on job duties, food safety and sanitation procedures, customer service, and other essential skills.
- Operates various equipment such as ovens, stoves, slicers, mixers, and more.
- BREAKS DOWN, cleans, and sanitizes workstations in both the kitchen and front-of-house areas.
- May assist in maintaining accurate inventory on a weekly or monthly basis.
- May perform cashier duties as required.
- Maintains exceptional customer service and a positive attitude towards guests, customers, coworkers, and others.
- Adheres to Fleetway Market safety policies and procedures, including proper food safety and sanitation practices.
- Ensures the security of company assets.
- Replenishes food offerings and ensures items are stocked to appropriate levels.
- Performs other duties and tasks assigned by the Caf Manager and Assistant Caf Manager.
Requirements:
- Experience in food service management or a related role is required.
- Must demonstrate integrity and a strong commitment to company values.
- Proven knowledge of basic principles of food preparation, various cooking methods, and food safety regulations, such as proper food handling, sanitation, and storage.
- Must be able to obtain food safety certification.
- Demonstrates basic math and counting skills.
- Demonstrates excellent interpersonal and communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Requires occasional lifting, carrying, pushing, or pulling of up to 25 lbs.
Qualifications and Experience:
- ServSafe Certified
- 3-5 years or more of related customer service and support experience and/or training.
- Ideal experience in directing and mentoring others.
