FleetPride is seeking a Heavy-Duty Parts Counter Sales Associate to provide customer service and parts sales support by phone and in person. This role focuses on helping customers identify and obtain the correct heavy-duty parts based on their needs while maintaining profitability and following company procedures.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist customers in locating and ordering heavy-duty parts by phone or in person
- Suggest related parts to support full-service solutions
- Retrieve parts from central warehouse or branch locations
- Determine and apply proper pricing according to company guidelines
- Process warranty and defective part returns
- Complete approved charge sales and credit transactions
- Handle emergency special parts orders when necessary
- Answer customer questions regarding products, pricing, and availability
- Maintain current product knowledge by reviewing catalogs, price lists, and bulletins
- Keep counter and display areas clean, organized, and customer-friendly
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required
- 2 years of sales experience preferred (heavy-duty automotive parts sales a plus)
- Intermediate computer skills (Excel, Word, Outlook)
- Strong skills in active listening, communication, and customer service
- Time management and organizational ability
- Persuasive and service-oriented mindset
Work Environment
- Inside and outside conditions with possible temperature variation
- Exposure to dust, vibration, vehicle noise, and minimal chemical hazards
