Janitorial Worker (Distribution Center Associate I)

Partner with the best in the heavy-duty industry and apply today! We are looking for an individual with janitorial experience to join our growing team in our Distribution Center in North Haven. I can help you arrange a time to meet the team. QUALIFICATIONS Ability to use hand cleaning tools such as mops, brooms, and brushes Ability to use power cleaning tools such as vacuums and floor scrubbers Ability to follow and read instructions and use cleaning chemicals and agents properly Ability to learn cleaning procedures for industrial equipment Responsibilities: Ensures equipment is free of grease, oil, residue, and other materials Cleans floors around machinery and elsewhere in the facility as assigned Performs other essential janitorial services to ensure the facility is clean and safe; tasks may include picking up trash, emptying receptacles, and stocking in the facility as required Painting, sweeping, mopping Maintain inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment Exhibit a professional manner in dealing with others, and work to maintain constructive professional relationships Performs other related duties as assigned Non-climate controlled inside warehouse Sitting, standing, walking for extended periods SKILLS & ABILITIES Janitorial experience highly preferred. Handling of normal stock will include lifting or carrying parts in excess of 60 lbs. up to 15% of the time. Majority of lifting and carrying will involve parts between 5 and 60 lbs. WORK ENVIRONMENT Inside/Outside conditions, Varied Temperature Changes – Not climate controlled environment, Minimal Chemical Hazards, Vibration, Dust, Equipment Noise EQUIPMENT OSHA approved steel-toed safety shoes required from the first day on the job.
