The Engineering Project Manager within the Project Control Group (PCG) plays a critical role in bridging Sales, Engineering, and Operations to ensure the successful execution of equipment projects from order initiation through final closeout. This position is responsible for managing all aspects of project delivery—including contract review, documentation control, vendor coordination, scheduling, and cost tracking—to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and in accordance with customer specifications and company standards. The Engineering Project Manager serves as the primary point of contact for internal teams, manufacturers, and customers, providing technical and logistical oversight throughout the project lifecycle. Success in this role requires strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills, with a focus on quality assurance, process efficiency, and compliance with contractual and regulatory requirements.

Key Duties And Essential Functions
- Purchase Order Review & Coordination
- Demonstrates accuracy and attention to detail in reviewing purchase orders, confirming equipment specifications, and verifying compliance with proposals and QA/QC standards.
- Collaborates effectively with Sales to ensure all bid terms, special multipliers, and customer requirements are clearly defined and documented.
- Ensures purchase orders meet technical, contractual, and compliance standards before project initiation
- Project Setup & Internal Coordination
- Partners with internal stakeholders (IST and others) to establish new projects efficiently and accurately.
- Communicates key project parameters—such as Buy America requirements, lead times, and special conditions—to ensure alignment across teams.
- Demonstrates proactive follow-up to confirm timely issuance of purchase orders and vendor engagement.
- Customer Communication & Scheduling
- Provides customers with clear and timely order acknowledgments, including preliminary submittal and schedule information.
- Maintains strong organizational discipline to complete initial project setup tasks within defined timeframes.
- Ensures early communication fosters customer confidence and project transparency.
- Submittal Management
- Oversees preparation, submission, and tracking of shop drawings and related documentation to customers.
- Coordinates review cycles and manages resubmittals with professionalism and urgency, maintaining alignment among vendors, customers, and Sales.
- Demonstrates problem-solving and collaboration skills when facilitating stakeholder meetings to resolve submittal issues.
- Ensures final record submittals are accurate, complete, and properly archived.
- Order Entry & Production Release
- Prepares and validates Order Entry documentation following submittal approval to enable smooth transition to production.
- Works collaboratively with IST to release equipment to manufacturing in accordance with approved specifications and timelines.
- Shares all relevant technical documentation to maintain visibility and continuity across project teams.
- Testing & Final Review
- Reviews vendor test reports to confirm product performance and readiness for shipment.
- Coordinates with internal teams and vendors to schedule and oversee witness tests as required.
- Provides technical and administrative support to resolve test-related issues promptly and effectively.
- Project Completion Support
- Maintains active engagement with IST, Sales, and other stakeholders to support all phases of the project lifecycle.
- Ensures project documentation, communication, and closeout activities are completed to company standards.
- Demonstrates commitment to quality, customer satisfaction, and continuous improvement in project execution.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Project Management, or related field; equivalent experience (5 years) may substitute. PMP certification preferred.
- Experience: Minimum 3 years in engineering project management, ideally within manufacturing or industrial equipment; proven experience collaborating across teams and managing technical documentation.
- Technical Skills: Proficient in ERP and project tracking systems; skilled in interpreting engineering drawings and specifications; knowledgeable in QA/QC and compliance standards.
- Core Competencies: Strong communicator and stakeholder manager; highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive; able to balance multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.

Salary : $100,000 - $120,000
