Overview
Join our new Fleet Upfitters team in Pensacola as an Automotive Installation Technician, providing vehicle upfits, modifications, and repairs in a field where our customers rely on us to make their fleets safer, more productive, and more profitable! In this role, you will be responsible for installing, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining a range of fleet vehicles and equipment. We play a vital role in servicing auto dealerships, municipalities, utility companies, and any business utilizing cars, vans, or light, medium, and heavy duty trucks for their day-to-day operations. We install everything we sell, and strive to make the process as simple and efficient as possible to get our customers' vehicles back on the road and working.
Duties
- Installation of a variety of aftermarket accessories, emergency and auxiliary lighting, shelving and tool storage, towing packages, camper shells, ladder racks, suspension and wheel/tire packages, and much more.
- Wiring and installation of 12V components including lighting, power inverters, trailer wiring, power steps, auxiliary batteries, backup alarms, dash cameras, and GPS modules.
- Interpret technical instructions and schematics accurately to complete high quality installs.
- Occasionally perform repairs or replacement of vehicle components such as brakes, suspension, tires, and other vehicle components to restore optimal operation.
- General maintenance of the shop and facility including cleaning the shop, bathroom and breakroom areas, organizing and maintaining tools and equipment, and organizing inventory.
- Operating a forklift.
Experience
- Proven dealership or service technician experience with a focus on automotive repair and maintenance.
- Strong knowledge of aftermarket accessories and 12V automotive electrical systems, as well as some diagnostic procedures.
- Mechanical knowledge combined with the ability to interpret instructions and wiring diagrams confidently.
- Hands-on experience with commercial truck upfitting including work bodies and flatbeds, vehicle mechanical repair, light fabrication/welding, and/or hydraulic systems are a plus!
- Demonstrated customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to coworkers and customers.

Compensation is negotiable and dependent upon experience and relevant certifications!
Pay: $22.00 - $24.00 per hour
