- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records using accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, or similar platforms.
- Perform bank reconciliations regularly to ensure consistency between bank statements and internal records.
- Record journal entries, including debits and credits, to reflect all financial transactions accurately.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts and prepare balance sheet reconciliations to support financial integrity.
- Assist with payroll processing, tax filings, and compliance with GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles).
- Generate detailed financial reports, including budgets, account analysis, and other documentation necessary for internal review or external audits.
- Proven experience in bookkeeping or accounting roles within corporate or non-profit organizations.
- Proficiency with accounting software such as QuickBooks, Xero, Sage, Quicken, or similar tools.
- Strong understanding of financial concepts including double-entry bookkeeping, account reconciliation, and general ledger accounting.
- Familiarity with governmental accounting standards and tax regulations is a plus.
- Excellent skills in bank reconciliation, account analysis, and financial report writing.
- Ability to perform 10-key typing efficiently for data entry tasks.
- Knowledge of payroll processing and accounts payable/receivable management.
- Attention to detail with a high level of accuracy in data entry and record-keeping.
