Main Responsibilities:Diagnostics and repairs, including AC, electrical systemsComplete all OEM on-line diagnostic scan tool software courses as required by location fleet mixPerforms vehicle maintenance and repair duties including:Performs standard vehicle maintenancePerforms preventive maintenancePerforms complex repairs with minimal (if any) supportDemonstrate the ability to access and use internal and external maintenance documentsDiagnoses and repairs complex mechanical and electronic problems with minimal (if any) support, utilizing diagnostic computers/software when applicablePerforms facility maintenance dutiesInteracts with customers/drivers to properly determine nature of complaint once assigned a taskInstructs and advises other technicians regarding maintenance repair procedures and diagnosticsCoaches/Mentors other level techniciansAdvise shop management and other technicians on shop repairsUtilizes key functions of Shop Management System and electronic documentation availableWorks in accordance with all federal/ provincial and corporate compliance guidelines (i.e., safety, DOT, MOT)Other support duties as required to support operationsDescription:Immediately hiring a Permanent Full Time Master Level Diesel Technician at Fleet Strong Inc.in Kent, WA!Job Requirements:Basic tools, requiredDemonstrated aptitude and applied experience in mechanical repair of automotive gas or diesel engines Routine preventative maintenance, which should include oil changes, brake and tire workAdvanced skilled level repairs to include some major engine repairs, diesel after treatment or automotive fuel injection repairs, requiredAll other certification as required by location, requiredAbility to perform all T3 tasksMust have demonstrated advanced analytical and repair skills in vehicle maintenanceEffective interpersonal communication skillsMust have basic computer skills: PC, Windows, mouse, etcMust be able to lift up to 50 poundsPrefer ASE Certification in PM, Brakes, A/C, electrical, Electronics or ASE Master MechanicRequired to operate shop computers and diagnostic test equipment proficientlyMust have minimum tool requirementMust road test vehicles as necessaryDemonstrated ability to coach/mentor/influence othersThis position requires for you to drive vehiclesMust be able to obtain CDL within 6 months after hirePass a Drug TestPass a Background and Motor vehicle check including Drug and alcohol verification from previous employers for the last 3 yearsImportant Note: Additional requirements may be required in different locations and/or accountsAt Fleet Strong, Inc., we take pride in being a company of action, dedicated to keeping your fleet on the road and in peak condition.
