Body Shop Technician & Painter
Position Summary
We are looking for an experienced Body Shop Technician / Painter to perform body repair, fabrication, and paint work on commercial trucks, trailers, buses, vans, and other commercial vehicles. This position is responsible for completing repairs from start to finish, including damaged panel repair and replacement, surface preparation, paint application, blending, refinishing, and final detailing.
The ideal candidate has hands-on experience in body repair and/or automotive painting, takes pride in quality workmanship, and is comfortable working independently as well as part of a team.
Responsibilities
- Perform body and collision repairs on commercial trucks, trailers, buses, vans, and other commercial vehicles.
- Repair, straighten, or replace damaged body panels and components.
- Perform basic welding, fabrication, grinding, and metal finishing as needed.
- Prepare vehicles and components for paint, including sanding, masking, surface preparation, and priming.
- Mix and apply automotive and commercial coatings, including basecoat and clearcoat systems.
- Perform paint blending, color matching, refinishing, and touch-up work.
- Complete final detailing and inspect finished work for quality.
- Operate common body shop, fabrication, and paint equipment safely and effectively.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
- Properly handle and maintain tools, equipment, paint products, and materials.
- Complete quality work while meeting established repair timelines.
- Communicate with other team members regarding repair needs, progress, and potential issues.
Qualifications
- Previous body repair and/or automotive painting experience preferred.
- Experience with welding, fabrication, grinding, or metal finishing is a plus.
- Commercial truck, trailer, or heavy-equipment repair experience is a plus.
- Ability to operate common body shop and paint equipment.
- Familiarity with surface preparation, primers, basecoat, clearcoat, and refinishing processes.
- Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
- Ability to follow repair specifications and established procedures.
- Dependable, self-motivated, and able to manage work efficiently.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Commitment to maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Pay: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour
