Job Title: Heavy Duty Wrecker Operator
Fleet Masters Towing & Recovery is seeking a skilled and experienced Heavy Duty Wrecker Operator to join our team on an on-call basis. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in heavy-duty towing, specifically with semi-trucks and large trailers.
Responsibilities:
- Operate heavy-duty wreckers to tow a variety of vehicles, including but not limited to Freightliners, Volvos, and Macks.
- Safely tow and recover 53-foot dry vans, reefers, containers, and other large trailers.
- Respond to on-call towing and recovery needs efficiently and professionally.
- Perform routine maintenance and safety checks on towing equipment.
- Communicate effectively with dispatch, customers, and other team members.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies.
Requirements:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience as a heavy-duty wrecker operator.
- Valid CDL with a clean driving record.
- Experience towing semi-trucks, Freightliners, Volvos, Macks, and large trailers such as 53-foot dry vans, reefers, and containers.
- Strong knowledge of towing and recovery techniques.
- Ability to work on-call as needed, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
