Fleet Master Truck Parts is opening a new heavy-duty truck parts retail store specializing in chrome, tires, oil, lighting, performance upgrades, and OEM replacement parts for semi-trucks. We are looking for a hands-on Store Manager to lead daily operations, drive sales, manage staff, and ensure an exceptional customer experience.
Job Summary
The Retail Store Manager is responsible for overseeing all day-to-day store operations, supervising front counter staff, maintaining inventory accuracy, managing the showroom, and ensuring smooth coordination with the warehouse. This is a leadership position requiring strong organizational skills, sales knowledge, and a deep understanding of the trucking industry or automotive retail.
Key ResponsibilitiesStore Operations
- Manage all daily store activities, open/close procedures, and overall store performance
- Maintain a clean, organized, and well-merchandised showroom
- Oversee POS transactions, customer accounts, pricing, and returns
- Implement company policies, safety standards, and operational procedures
- Coordinate with the warehouse to ensure fast, accurate order fulfillment
Sales & Customer Service
- Lead by example with strong customer service and parts knowledge
- Assist customers with parts lookups, fitment advice, and product recommendations
- Resolve customer issues professionally and escalate when needed
- Drive sales, manage promotions, and help build customer loyalty programs
Staff Management
- Hire, train, schedule, and supervise front counter staff
- Hold team accountable for performance, accuracy, and customer service
- Conduct ongoing product training for new parts, brands, and suppliers
- Create a positive, productive work environment focused on teamwork
Inventory & Purchasing
- Monitor stock levels, communicate shortages, and approve replenishment
- Assist with receiving, stocking, labeling, and inventory counts
- Work with suppliers and management to source new product lines
- Ensure accurate stock levels between store, warehouse, and POS system
Financial & Reporting
- Track sales goals, KPIs, and daily/weekly performance
- Manage budgets, expenses, and shrinkage control
- Prepare and submit required reports to company leadership
QualificationsExperience
- 10 years retail management experience required
- Experience in truck parts, automotive parts, diesel shops, or related industry Required
- Experience managing teams of 3–10 employees
- POS experience (Clover experience is a plus)
Skills
- Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving abilities
- Excellent customer service mindset
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment
- Knowledge of heavy-duty truck parts or the ability to learn quickly
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
Physical Requirements
- Able to lift up to 50 lbs
- Comfortable standing for long periods
- Able to move boxes, displays, and truck parts when necessary
