Responsibilities Of The Job

The Retail Experience Manager (RXM) is responsible for training the team about product updates and keeping them accountable to providing every resource to their customers. Methods of staff training include assigning training videos, in-person training, and goal-setting with individual outfitters. The RXM should be the leader of the sales floor, helping customers when needed, training team members during downtime, and leading remerchandising efforts. During busier shifts, the RXM will run a waitlist for customers and help waiting customers with accessory and apparel needs. The RXM will report directly to the General Manager reporting on how well the staff is selling the essentials like insoles, socks, apparel, etc... and where individual outfitters are in their goals/training. The RXM will also conduct interview screenings for new hires and fully train new hires on the job of outfitting.

For our Retail Experience Manager, we're looking for a ~30 hour/week employee who's able to work a mix of mornings, evenings, and full days. While the RXM has some control over their own hours, they do need to work at least 1 common shift each week with all the different team members to effectively captain and train them throughout the week. Saturdays are our busiest day being in retail and while not every Saturday will be required, it will be a fairly regular shift.

While certain shifts and meetings are required, the flexibility given to Fleet Feet employees to switch and cover is very generous and time off requests with enough notice are granted nearly 100% of the time. We thrive for a work environment where our team is happy to help each other out with covering shifts. Also our management is understanding when life comes up and you need help, and we are happy to do whatever we can.

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour

Expected hours: 27.0 – 35.0 per week
