Responsibilities
- Supervise daily construction activities on-site, ensuring work progresses according to project plans and schedules.
- Coordinate with project managers, contractors, and clients to align project objectives and resolve issues promptly.
- Monitor safety protocols rigorously, ensuring compliance with OSHA standards and other safety regulations across the site.
- Read and interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to verify work accuracy and quality control.
- Manage subcontractors, suppliers, and labor crews to optimize productivity while maintaining high safety standards.
- Utilize construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6, Bluebeam, HeavyBid, or similar tools for project scheduling, budgeting, and documentation.
- Conduct regular site inspections using tools like ohmmeters for electrical testing and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Oversee project budgeting, cost control measures, and contract management to keep projects on track financially.
- Prepare detailed reports on project progress, safety incidents, and quality assurance for stakeholders.
- Enforce strict adherence to construction protocols including blueprint reading, schematics interpretation, and construction estimating.
Experience
- Proven experience supervising construction sites with a strong background in heavy civil or commercial projects.
- Demonstrated management skills with a track record of supervising teams effectively in fast-paced environments.
- Extensive knowledge of construction management software such as ProCore, Primavera P6 (Primavera), Bluebeam, HeavyBid or equivalent tools.
- Familiarity with OSHA safety standards and certification requirements for construction sites.
- Hands-on experience in project scheduling, budgeting, contract administration, and quality control processes.
- Ability to read complex blueprints and schematics accurately while ensuring compliance with technical specifications.
- Prior experience with construction estimating techniques and managing pipelines of ongoing projects is highly desirable.
