What are the responsibilities and job description for the Parts Runner/Coordinator position at Fleet Advisor?
About Fleet Advisor
Fleet Advisor is a Denver‑based start‑up on a mission to take our brand nationwide in the next few years. We deliver mobile service for commercial fleets —a shop on wheels that handles everything from oil changes to batteries, brakes, engine work, and beyond. Our core purpose is simple: serve our team and customers like family.
Where You Fit In
Our business has two halves:
- Top‑tier Automotive & Diesel Technicians – keeping vehicles on the road and equipment running smoothly.
- Operations – scheduling, coordinating, and making sure the right automotive, diesel, and equipment parts reach the right tech at the right time.
We're hiring a Parts Runner / Parts Manager who will be a critical bridge between these two worlds—supporting field technicians and driving operational efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- Pick up, order, and deliver parts—including automotive, diesel, and heavy‑equipment components—to on‑site technicians.
- Source and place parts orders quickly and accurately using suppliers, dealer networks, and online platforms.
- Manage inventory: track stock levels, label and organize parts, and perform regular counts.
- Process returns and core exchanges to keep our parts accounts clean and costs down.
- Job preparation: stage parts, fluids, and supplies for upcoming work orders.
- Schedule coordination: work closely with the Operations Manager to keep techs productive and customers informed.
- Boost technician morale by eliminating parts‑related delays and jumping in with an extra set of hands when needed.
What We're Looking For
- A quick learner with the mindset and willingness to master automotive, diesel, and equipment parts. Prior parts experience is helpful but not required.
- Physically able to lift 80–100 lbs and comfortable driving throughout the Denver metro area.
- Clean driving record and professional, customer‑focused demeanor.
- A detail hawk who can juggle multiple orders without dropping the ball.
- Ambition to grow—our goal is for this role to develop into Operations Manager as we scale.
Why Fleet Advisor?
- Rapid career growth in a young, fast‑scaling company.
- Work alongside some of the best technicians in the region.
- A supportive team culture that pushes you to improve every day.
