Lead Painter ( Residential)

Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Painter (Residential) to oversee and execute painting projects within residential settings. This dynamic role involves leading a team of painters, ensuring high-quality craftsmanship, and maintaining safety standards on-site. As a Lead Painter, you will be responsible for managing all aspects of residential painting projects from surface preparation to finishing touches, delivering exceptional results that enhance our clients’ homes. Your expertise in various painting techniques, surface treatments, and renovation processes will drive project success and customer satisfaction.

Duties

• Lead and coordinate residential painting projects, including surface preparation, coating application, and finishing.
• Supervise and mentor a team of painters, assigning tasks and ensuring adherence to safety protocols and quality standards.
• Prepare surfaces by cleaning, sanding, caulking, drywall repair, plastering, and stucco application to ensure optimal paint adhesion.
• Operate hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including conventional spraying), and scaffolding or ladders safely and efficiently.
• Interpret technical drawings, blueprints, and renovation plans to accurately execute project specifications.
• Conduct color matching using visual comparison techniques and ensure color consistency across surfaces.
• Perform surface repairs such as drywall patching, fixture installation, caulking, and restoration tasks as required.
• Ensure proper surface preparation for industrial or commercial painting when applicable during renovation or remodeling projects.

Skills

• Extensive experience in residential painting with knowledge of construction site practices.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, paint sprayers (including spray painting techniques), brushes, rollers, and scaffolding equipment.
• Familiarity with safety regulations including respiratory protection use and safety protocol adherence on construction sites.
• Skilled in surface preparation techniques such as drywall repair, plastering, caulking
• Experience with industrial painting processes when involved in larger renovation or restoration projects.
• Basic math skills for measurements and calculations related to coatings and surface treatments.
• Strong communication skills for team leadership and client interactions during remodeling or renovation projects.

Hours:

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 3:00pm

This position is for experienced residential painters. Pay based on experience

Pay: $25.00 - $29.00 per hour
