Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site Chef role based in Orange, California. In this position, the Chef will be responsible for planning, preparing, and presenting high-quality dishes while maintaining kitchen hygiene and safety standards. Day-to-day tasks include designing menus, monitoring food preparation, managing kitchen staff, sourcing fresh ingredients, maintaining inventory, and ensuring food is cooked and presented to meet company standards. The Chef will also collaborate with clients to accommodate specific dietary requirements and customize menus for events.
Qualifications
- Proven skills in menu design, food preparation, and kitchen management
- Expertise in cooking techniques and culinary arts, with a strong understanding of flavor pairings
- Knowledge of health and safety standards, food hygiene, and quality control
- Experience in inventory management and sourcing fresh and high-quality ingredients
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and manage a team of kitchen staff
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills to work effectively with clients and team members
- Creative problem-solving skills and attention to detail in dish presentation
- Culinary certification or degree is preferred
- Prior experience in event catering or high-volume kitchens is an advantage
