We’re looking for a strong, reliable Kitchen Captain to step into a leadership role and help our kitchen run smoothly while executing high-quality food.
Position Summary
The Kitchen Captain is the backbone of the back-of-house. This role is ideal for an experienced cook who can lead by example, maintain high food standards, and support kitchen operations from prep to service. You’ll work hands-on on the line while guiding other cooks, keeping the kitchen organized, and ensuring every plate looks amazing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the line and set the pace during service
- Cook menu items accurately, quickly, and consistently
- Assist with daily prep, quality checks, and recipe execution
- Maintain kitchen organization, cleanliness, and food safety standards
- Help train and mentor new BOH team members
- Communicate clearly with FOH and management
- Monitor ticket flow and keep service running efficiently
- Ensure portion control, plating standards, and product rotation
- Support inventory and ordering needs when required
- Bring solutions, stay calm under pressure, and motivate the team
Who We’re Looking For
- 2 years of cooking experience in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong line cooking skills (grill, sauté, fry, oven)
- Leadership experience is a PLUS
- Ability to multitask and work clean
- Reliable, punctual, and confident running a shift
- A team player who brings a positive attitude
- Knowledge of food safety and kitchen best practices
- Willingness to uphold our quality and standards every day
