WORK ENVIROMENT
This job operates in a professional office environment. This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets and fax machines.
TRAVEL
25% travel or less is expected for this position.
POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK
This is a full-time position, and hours of work and days are generally Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m.. Some weekend or evening hours may be necessary in emergency situations.
SECURITY CLEARENCE
Public Trust clearance required for this position.

- Provides support to Government regarding natural resource issues related to the development of renewable energy resources and furnishes guidance in the conservation and development of these resources.
- Provides technical advice and support to the Government for tribal renewable energy development programs. Evaluates the environmental impact of planned projects, and advises on project environmental review components, timelines, and mitigation measures.
- Ability to analyze renewable energy projects and determine the environmental impact of the projects in the various development scenarios.
- Ability to propose mitigation measures a tribe could utilize to minimize project impacts.
- Knowledge in the environmental permitting and regulations that govern tribal energy and/or mineral projects.
- The Government will provide additional specific knowledge and skills required on an as-needed basis to ensure the Contractor can successfully fill positions in this labor category.

- A B.S. degree in a natural resource related field is required, Masters preferred.
- 6–8 years of progressively responsible experience in natural resource management or a related field is required.
