Information Technology Support Technician

Flatrock is dedicated to providing compassionate adult foster care for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities in licensed homes across Michigan. Our homes are staffed 24/7 and emphasize tailored behavioral health support, therapy, and wellness programs that promote connection, growth, and independence for residents.

Responsibilities: 

• Provide hands-on technical support for computers, printers, mobile devices, and phones
• Manage user onboarding/offboarding in Microsoft 365 (account setup, access, deactivation)
• Support Microsoft 365 tools like Outlook, Teams, and SharePoint
• Troubleshoot login issues, passwords, and multi-factor authentication (MFA)
• Install, configure, and maintain hardware and software
• Track and maintain IT assets and device inventory
• Ensure systems stay updated (Windows, antivirus, Office)
• Log and resolve issues through our IT ticketing system
• Troubleshoot WiFi, printers, and network connectivity
• Assist with facility tech systems (e.g., camera monitoring software)
• Document solutions to improve internal processes
• Travel to company locations as needed to provide on-site support
• Deliver friendly, service-oriented support to all staff

Qualifications: 

• Associate or Bachelor’s degree in an IT-related field (or equivalent experience)
• 2 years of IT support or help desk experience
• Strong experience with Microsoft 365 (Outlook, Teams, SharePoint)
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills
• Ability to explain technical concepts in a clear, user-friendly way
• Strong organization and time management skills

This role involves a mix of desk work and on-site support. You’ll need to be comfortable sitting, standing, walking, bending, and occasionally lifting equipment (up to 25 lbs regularly, up to 100 lbs occasionally). Some travel between locations may be required, along with occasional evening, weekend, or holiday support.
