What are the responsibilities and job description for the QuickBooks Bookkeeper position at FlatRate Moving?
FlatRate Moving is currently seeking an experienced QuickBooks Bookkeeper with a strong knowledge of QuickBooks and Excel to become an integral part of our team FlatRate's Headquarters office is located in the South of Bronx (One stop from Manhattan on the 6 train).
Key Tasks and Responsibilities (include but are not limited to):
- Obtain primary financial data for accounting records
- Compute and record numerical data
- Check the accuracy of business transactions
- Perform data entry and administrative duties
- Review, enter and process invoices
- Match purchase orders with invoices
- Process daily charges of storage and moving customers
- Verify validity of account discrepancies by obtaining and investigating information
- Perform daily cash management transactions in QuickBooks
- Maintain petty cash accounts and log all outgoing disbursements
- Process accounts receivable
- Maintain orderly accounting filing system
- Comply with local, state and federal government reporting requirements
- Protect organizations' value by keeping information confidential
Requirements:
- Proven Bookkeeping experience
- 3 years' experience in accounting, finance or other related fields
- Bachelor's Degree or Equivalent
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & QuickBooks
- Experience in Accounts Receivable
- Experience in payroll processing is a plus
- Proven ability to calculate, post and manage accounting figures and financial records
- Hands-on experience with spreadsheets and proprietary software
- Ability to multi task and work well under pressure
- Deadline and detail-oriented
