What are the responsibilities and job description for the Heavy Equipment Operator position at Flatland Civil Construction LLC?
Flatland civil Construction is seeking 1–2 experienced Heavy Equipment Operators for civil construction and site development projects. The operator will be responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to perform grading, excavation, and site preparation work.
We are looking for reliable individuals who take pride in quality work, follow safety procedures, and work well as part of a construction crew.
Responsibilities
- Operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently on construction sites
- Perform grading, excavation, trenching, and site preparation
- Follow grade stakes and directions from the foreman
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance
- Maintain a safe and organized job site
- Work with crew members to complete projects on schedule
Requirements
- 5 years experience operating heavy equipment in civil construction
- Needs to have Motergrader and Dozer experience
- Experience with site work, grading, or excavation
- Willing to Travel
- Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions
- Strong work ethic and dependable attendancePreferred Qualifications
- Experience reading grade stakes or site plans
- Experience working around underground utilities
- CDL is a plus but not required
Schedule
- Monday – Friday
- Occasional Saturdays depending on project schedule
