What are the responsibilities and job description for the Alpine Ski Coach - U12/U10 Development Team position at Flathead Valley Ski Education Foundation?
Calling all former ski racers! Are you looking to reconnect with a sport that shaped who you are as a person? Do you want to give back to the sport?
Flathead Valley Ski Team at Whitefish Mountain Resort is seeking alpine coaches to assist the Development Team Lead Coach for the 2026/27 season. Positions with the competitive team and the recreational team are both available. This is a part-time, seasonal position from mid-December through March. Coach must be available Saturday and/or Sunday between 8:45am and 3pm, for a 4-day holiday camp December 27-30, and for two partial days of orientation and training in early December. A Wednesday and/or Thursday shift from 2-6pm may also be available. The competitive Development Team is for skiers between 8-13 years old who want to continue developing technical skills with a focus on racing. Skiers will continue to develop all mountain skiing skills, but will focus on gate training and will be encouraged to participate in Youth Ski League races around the state. The recreational team has less emphasis on gate training and more emphasis on all mountain skills with the intent to eventually move to the Flathead Freeride Club.
