Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Gift Shop Associate to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service while assisting guests with their purchases and enhancing their overall experience at our resort. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills and a passion for guest services, ensuring that every visitor leaves with a smile.

Responsibilities

• Greet customers warmly and provide assistance in selecting merchandise.
• Handle cash transactions accurately and efficiently.
• Maintain an organized and visually appealing shop environment.
• Assist with inventory management, including restocking shelves and tracking sales.
• Address customer inquiries and resolve any conflicts or issues that may arise.
• Promote special events or promotions within the shop to enhance guest engagement.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth operations during peak times.
• Provide information about resort amenities, events, and local attractions to enhance guest experience.

Qualifications

• Previous experience in customer service or retail is preferred.
• Strong conflict management skills to handle customer concerns effectively.
• Experience in guest services, particularly within a resort setting, is a plus.
• Cash handling experience is essential for processing transactions accurately.
• Excellent public speaking skills to engage with guests during events or promotions.
• Background in food service or events management is beneficial but not required.
• A passion for theater or the arts can enhance your ability to connect with customers.
• Must be able to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays as needed.
