Role Description As an Insurance Advisor at Flathead Insurance, you will work on-site in Kalispell, MT in a full-time capacity. You will meet with individuals and businesses to assess their risk profiles, understand their coverage needs, and recommend appropriate insurance products. Daily responsibilities include preparing quotes, explaining policy options in clear terms, and guiding clients through applications, renewals, and policy changes. You will respond to client inquiries, assist with claims-related questions, and maintain accurate records in the agency management system. The role also involves building and maintaining a pipeline of prospects through referrals, networking, and community outreach, while collaborating with internal team members to deliver consistent, high-quality service.
Qualifications
- Strong knowledge or demonstrated interest in Insurance and related products, with the ability to learn carrier guidelines and policy forms.
- Foundational understanding of Finance concepts to discuss premiums, deductibles, coverage limits, and risk in a clear and accurate way.
- Aptitude for Consulting, including needs assessment, solution-oriented recommendations, and long-term client relationship management.
- Proven Customer Service skills, with a focus on responsiveness, follow-through, and maintaining a professional, supportive client experience.
- Excellent Communication skills, both verbal and written, to explain complex information in straightforward language and document interactions clearly.
- Relevant state insurance producer license (or ability and willingness to obtain within a specified time frame).
- Comfort with technology, including CRM or agency management systems, email, and basic office software.
- High level of integrity, attention to detail, and ability to organize and prioritize multiple client needs.
