This position is for an on-call substitute. Hours will vary based on need during a given week. This is a great opportunity for a parent that would like to work while kids are in school or for a college student that needs flexibility.
Candidates must have at least 60 college credits to apply.
Duties
- Implement lesson plans provided by the regular teacher.
- Manage classroom behavior with effective behavior management techniques to create a safe and respectful learning environment
- Assist with classroom activities
- Foster positive relationships with students through mentoring and personalized attention, encouraging their academic and social growth
- Communicate effectively with staff, parents, and administrators regarding student behavior and classroom needs
- Be dependable and prompt in coming to work after you have made a commitment to sub.
- Have fairly good availablity to fill in at the last minute.
Experience
- Prior classroom experience is preferred, but we will work with the right candidate.
- Demonstrated ability to work with children of various ages and developmental stages, including those requiring special education support
- Experience working with children is desirable
- Strong communication skills to effectively collaborate with staff, students, and parents
- Familiarity with classroom management techniques and behavior management strategies
