Overview
Flat River Academy is seeking an experience substitute teacher or certified teacher to complete the last 4 weeks of the school year teaching physical education to K-8th grade students .

Responsibilities
- Deliver engaging lessons in the area of physical education.
- Manage classroom behavior effectively to create a safe, respectful, and productive learning environment
- Utilize classroom management techniques to maintain discipline and promote positive student interactions
- Collaborate with colleagues and support staff to ensure continuity of instruction and student well-being
- Communicate regularly with students, parents, and school administrator regarding student progress and classroom activities
- Adapt instructional strategies for students with special needs or those requiring additional support.
Requirements
- Prior classroom experience in elementary, coaching, or sports management
- Experience managing behavior and implementing classroom management strategies effectively
- Ability to work with children of varying abilities, including those requiring special education accommodations
- Excellent communication skills to engage students, parents, and colleagues effectively
- Ability to be prompt and reliable each day
- Substitute teachers are require to have a minimum of 60 college credits to qualify for a permit.
